Oninoshitaburui Ravine

Large scale ravine is made of rocks of unusual shapes and has something different to enjoy in each appointed season.

Rocks were eroded by the rapid water current of the Omaki River, a branch of the Kihi River, for a long period of time and became a 2.3 km large-scale ravine. Visitors can enjoy a variety of scenery, such as sharp cliffs along the river and folded and piled up rocks on the bottom of the valley. The view is designated as a special scenic site and a natural monument by the government.

Recently an enormous rock draws attention, as the shape looks like a rock “Shitoiwa”, which appears in a blockbuster movie “Devil’s Blade”
