The unique museum which features sand, time and the environment was built to protect and make full use of the precious local resource, “singing sand” of Kotogahama Beach.

There are six glass pyramid-shaped buildings of various sizes. The museum houses artworks made of sand and various kinds of sand from all over Japan and from overseas You can try some sand related hands-on experiences
