Nature OKAYAMA

Tenno Hachiman Shrine is a habitat of kinbotaru and is designated as a prefectural natural monument of Okayama. Insects emit light for only ten days a year; around July 10th, when visitors have a precious opportunity to watch 5,000 fireflies fly around in the forest. The view can be eloquently described as a “World of Gold”. The town is busy with visitors.
