Along with Yunotsu and Yunogo, Yubara is one of the three biggest hot springs in the Mimasaka area and is listed as a champion in the West according to the ranking of nationwide outdoor baths.
It is known as a sand bath as water issues upward carrying sand from the river bed. Open all day and free of charge. You can spend a relaxing time in the bath, enjoying the fabulous view of the Yubara Dam and surrounding natural environment.
